Blessed

Sunday ~ May 1st

We finally decided to bless Little D before he was able to sit on his own, or before he was too heavy to hold. I was worried he might already be too heavy.

R gave him a beautiful blessing. His grandpa and two brothers stood in the circle with my dad and our bishop. It was a nice, quiet little group which turned out perfectly.

I guess laying there was a tiring job. Either that or Grandpa has the magic touch.

(Grandma Patty & Grandpa Cody)

(Grandma Sherry)

Little D has been such a blessing in our lives; I can’t imagine our family without him. He is such a sweet little guy.

Earmarked

Webster’s Dictionary Definition of Earmarked: 1 a: to mark (livestock) with an earmark, b: to mark in a distinguishing manner 2: to designate (as funds) for a specific use or owner <money earmarked for education>

My definition of Earmarked: When you look down at your arm after feeding your baby and see the print of his ear.

Copyrights

Why do I put copyrights on my photos? Good question.

Do I do it because I’m egotistical and just like to see my name on a photo?

Actually, it all began when someone took a photo of Miss M from a previous blog and then sent it out with an inappropriate comment. After that incident, I put passwords on my posts with photos, but that made it so many people who I wanted to see the photos could no longer get to them.

In the end, I decided that I would keep my blog public, but that I would at least add a copyright logo or watermark to my photos. It wasn’t necessarily to prevent someone from taking my photos, but to at least have a way of identifying my photos.

So that’s why I do it.

Bring Kareen Home

For those that know me, you have probably heard about a very special family in my neighborhood.

They are trying to raise money to adopt a special little angel. Here’s an excerpt from their blog:

iPad Giveaway for KAREEN!
Kareen is a 4 year old little girl with Down syndrome who was given up at birth and has lived in an orphanage in Eastern Europe ever since. In her country a child with special needs is only held in an orphanage until the age of 4 or 5 and is then transferred to an institution where conditions are bleak and offer little hope for living a fulfilling life. Kareen’s story has touched our family, and we are committed to bring her home. The cost of international adoption is very high, and we could use your help!

Donate now through Saturday, February 5th, when one lucky person will receive a Brand New 16GB Wi-Fi iPad

For every $10 donated, you will be entered into a drawing for the iPad (i.e. $50 equals 5 entries). Also, if after donating, you advertise this giveaway on your blog or facebook, you will get an additional entry. Simply leave me a comment with your name and the link to your post.

Ways to Donate:

  • Go to www.kareensjourneyhome.blogspot.com and click the “Chip in “ button
  • Bring a check or cash by our home. You may email me at keciajcox@msn.com for our address.
  • Tax deductible donation (must leave me a comment with your name and donation amount to be entered into the giveaway, since this site is kept confidential)http://reecesrainbow.org/sponsorcox

Every dollar helps, and brings us closer to having our little angel home safe.

Thanks for your Support!!!

– Kris & Kecia Cox

If you have a chance, please check out their blog. They are the perfect family for Kareen. They are rushing to get the adoption approved before she is transferred to an institution which is supposed to be really soon.

Please keep the Cox family and Kareen in your prayers.

Let’s Get This Show On The Road!

Ok, Robert has been playing with working on the website, and has made some changes, but I’m back on board and ready to go! He still needs to import all my older posts, so hopefully that goes smoothly. I’ve got my fingers crossed.

In the meantime, I’ve had lots of ideas going through my head, but have been unable to post them. It’s time to get those ideas out of my head and on here! So, without too much delay (I hope) I should have some good stuff coming up.

Enjoy!
